Erigavo (SD) – Somaliland Minister of Livestock and Fisheries Development today laid the foundation for Maydh Port project in Erigavo, Sanag region.

The launching ceremony was attended by Sanag regional administration and Erigavo district administration, traditional elders, religious scholars and women.

Maydh port project manager Mursal Ardale Abdi and Najah Mohamud Aden, deputy head of the Somaliland Development Fund (SDF), said the government and the Somaliland Development Fund have agreed to invest in the Maydh fishing port.

Minister of Livestock and Fisheries Development Said Sulub Mohamed said the Maydh port project has gone through various stages, and fortunately succeeded in getting it started.

The Minister commended the President of the Republic of Somaliland for the implementation of the project to build the Maydh port in Sanag region.
