Hargeisa December 12, 2022 (SD) -Somaliland’s foreign minister Essa Kayd Speaking to the media in Hargeisa today, confirmed that the outgoing President Muse Bihi went to Djibouti on a wedding invitation.

The minister’s statement contradicts that of the presidency which claimed Musa’s trip was a diplomatic one.

Mr. Kayd also denied that Muse Bihi met with Somalia’s president during the visit. the foreign minister also denied that Somaliland’s declining democracy was why they were not invited to the US-Africa summit
