Washington December 14, 2022 (SD) – The President of Somalia participating in the U.S.- African leaders summit in Washington held a sidebar meeting today with the secretaries of foreign affairs and defense of the United States Antony Blinken and Lloyd Austin.

The meeting, which was also attended by the presidents of Djibouti and Niger, reportedly discussed the security and drought conditions in Somalia.

The leasers did not release any information on how the United States can help in these situations.

The U.S. invited 50 African leaders in Washington to promote cooperation between the two sides at a time when China and Russia are expanding on the continent.
