MOGADISHU (SD) – The National Consultative Council led by the Prime Minister HE Mohamed Hussein Roble met with representatives of Somali civil society and women.

The National Consultative Council and the civil society discussed the acceleration of the electoral process and how to rectify the electoral irregularities.

The National Consultative Council has heard from civil society on their recommendations on electoral transparency and ensuring women’s quotas in Parliament.

The recent National Consultative Council meeting in Mogadishu is expected to conclude with the release of a new electoral process and the provisions agreed upon by the National Consultative Assembly.
