MOGADISHU (SD) – The Drought Relief Committee appointed by the Prime Minister of the Federal Government of Somalia, Mohamed Hussein Roble, has begun distributing the Government’s drought relief allocation.
The committee, chaired by Somalia’s Minister of Relief and Disaster Management Khadijo Mohamed Diriye, handing over financial aid to drought-affected people in the country’s states.
The handover ceremony at the Prime Minister’s Office was attended by State Ministers of Aid and attended by members of the Drought Relief Committee.
Minister of Relief and Disaster Management Khadijo Mohamed Diriye spoke at the distribution of government funds for drought relief, highlighting the importance of doubling their efforts.
The Minister of Aid for the South West State of Somalia, speaking on behalf of the regional states, thanked the federal government for its assistance and promised to deliver the aid to the intended recipients.
