Mogadishu December 29, 2022 (SD) -The meeting of the National Consultative Council of Somalia was concluded today in Mogadishu, with an agreement that contained several articles, some of which the Puntland administration refused to sign.
The consultative council, except for Puntland, agreed on a judicial federalization process and an agreement defining federal and regional powers.
The National Consultative Council could not agree on the term of office of the leaders of the regional governments of Somalia.
Somalis either do not agree with or have no clear understanding of the Federal system and how it can be used to rebuild the country’s institutions.
