Monday, September, 12, 2022 (SD) – Somali National Army with local community forces liberated districts in Southern Hiiraan region, from Al- Shabaab fighters.  

Somali national news agency, reported that Somalia National Army and the Local Community Forces attacked the areas that were under Al-Shabaab control. liberated the districts after a fierce fighting, with both sides suffering heavy losses.

The district’s liberated by the national forces and local community forces from Al-Shabaab in Southern Hiiraan are Xarar-lugoole and Fidow.  

Officials from the arm forces that led the operation said they inflicted heavy losses upon the extremist group during the liberation operations in Southern Hiiraan region. 

There have been ongoing operations in Hiiraan region by Somalia National Army supported by The Local Community Forces, against All-Shabaab Group in which the allied forces took over the areas that where formerly controlled by the extremist group.
