Jigjiga (SD) – Opposition parties in the Somali Regional State of Ethiopia said they will suspend their participating in the regions election process until the voting process is corrected.
Leaders of the political parties said local authorities were interfering in the election process.
The parties added that if this issue was not addressed within five days they would consider boycotting the election.
Ibrahim Mohamed Hussein (Ibrahim Dheere), chairman of the Somali Constituency Freedom and Equality Party’s election committee said that since Abiy Ahmed came to power in Ethiopia, opposition parties in the Somali regional state have faced many challenges.
