Mogadishu (SD) – Arsenal and Germany star Mesut Ozil has donated Ramadan aid in multiple locations including Mogadishu, the capital of Somalia.
Ozil has donated $ 101,000 to the Turkish Red Crescent in order to distribute aid to Muslims in several countries, including Somalia, during the holy month of Ramadan.
The funds will be used to fund 90,000 people in Somalia during Ramadan, according to the Turkish Red Crescent.
Kerem Kinik, head of the Turkish Red Crescent Society, thanked the London-based star for his timely and Islamic Donations in the Holy month of Ramadan.
“We will deliver the packages provided with the donation of my brother Mesut to people in need as soon as possible,” he said.
The Garman footbal star has numerous fans cheering for his side, specially the majority Somali youth who follow Arsenal.
