BOSSASO (SD) – Some candidates for the House of the People of the Federal Parliament of Somalia have expressed serious concern over the upcoming elections in Bossaso.
The candidates, including federal ministers held a press conference in Bossaso and alleged that the election process in Bossaso violates the agreed-upon procedures for indirect elections.
The politicians have also expressed support for Bari regional leaders and their talks with Puntland President Said Abdullahi Deni in Bossaso.
The candidates included Federal Ministers of Planning and Agriculture Jamal Mohamed Hassan and Said Hussein Eid.
Parliamentary elections are expected to take place in Bossaso soon, and President Deni is reportedly campaigning to allocate those seats for his allies.
