Mogadishu April 08, 2023 (SD) – The Prime Minister of the Federal Government of Somalia, Hamse Abdi Barre, received the newly appointed Special Representative of the President for the Stabilization and Protection of Civil Affairs in the war zones, Mohamed Abdullahi Ware, at his office.
The Prime Minister praised Waare as an expert in the issues he has been appointed to, and the government will support him in fulfilling his duties.
The Prime Minister urged the representative to prioritize the protection of the human rights of the local population living in areas recovered from the Al-Shabaab militants.
He also emphasized the need to extend government services to these areas as the second phase of the country’s peacekeeping mission against Al-Shabaab begins.
The former President of Hirshabelle State, Mohamed Abdi Waare, was appointed as the Special Representative of the President for the Security and Stabilization the Stabilization and Protection of Civil Affairs in Conflict-Affected Areas recently, giving him the responsibility of overseeing security and stabilization efforts in the conflict areas.
