KISMAYO (SD) -The government of Somalia and the Jubaland administration, have today delivered the first humanitarian aid to the Somali people affected by the flooding in Jubaland.
The assistance given today to the people affected by flooding was donated by the Chinese government, and Somali Prime Minister Hamse Abdi Barre, who has been in Kismayo for the past few days, and Jubbaland President Ahmed Mohamed Islam Madobe thanked the Chinese government for the help.
Prime Minister Hamse Abdi Barre called on the international community to provide assistance to the Somali people who have been affected by the challenges posed by El Niño and riverine flooding.
Jubaland President Ahmed Madobe also urged international aid organizations and the global community to provide rapid assistance to the people affected by the floods in the Jubaland regions so that their living conditions can be improved day by day.
