Mogadishu (SD) – The PM of federal government of Somalia Hassan Ali Kheyre, hosted a virtual meeting on how to better coordinate the Qardho flood relief.

The meeting was attended by ambassadors to Somalia, aid agencies, UN officials and the President of Puntland State of Somalia Said Abdullahi Deni.

President of Puntland, Said Abdullahi Deni, gave a detailed report on the current situation in Qardho, and prioritised the type of emergency assistance that is currently needed.

Mr. Hassan Ali Kheyre, speaking on the importance of unity in dealing with situations like this, called on international agencies and friends of Somalia to help the people of Qardho in restoring normalcy.

The Prime Minister thanked the international community for the continued support of the Somali people as well. In particular, praised the people of Puntland for all of their timely efforts in helping the flood victims in Qardho.
