Mogadishu (SD) – Somali Prime Minister Mohamed Hussein Roble has called on opposition politicians and the Somali people to remain calm, and that he is willing to sit down with anyone who has complaints about the electoral process in the country.
Speaking at a press conference held at his office in Mogadishu last night, the Prime Minister said: “I am ready to receive anyone who is interested or has a complaint, and I will resolve their grievances, whether it is elections, public or private.”
He added: “I therefore urge the Somali people to remain calm. As the Prime Minister, I am willing to receive anyone and discuss any challenges or concerns they may have. ”
Roble called on opposition politicians to remain calm and said his office was open to anyone with concerns about the election.
“I would also like to say to our brothers and sisters who have complaints about election issues that my office is open, my door is open, and I am ready to receive you. I am also ready to consider your concerns, sit down with you and reach a lasting solution, I say calm down. ” said PM Roble.
Roble’s comments come as the Union of Candidates on Wednesday strongly opposed the bicameral parliamentary election schedule, issued by the disputed Electoral Commissions.
