MOGADISHU (SD)-This morning, the Somali police forces conducted an operation to demolish houses in the Dabdamiska neighborhood of Mogadishu, an area where residents had previously refused to leave despite multiple notices.
The police instructed the residents to evacuate their homes and take their essential belongings. Following these orders, the police brought in bulldozers to demolish the houses, leveling them to the ground.
In a press conference held shortly after, the spokesperson for the Somali police force stated that the operation had successfully removed the remaining few residents from the Dabdamiska neighborhood, noting that most of the residents had already vacated the area earlier.
The spokesperson added that the police assisted the remaining residents in evacuating, providing them with vehicles to transport their belongings.
