GAROWE September 06, 2022 (SD) – Some political organizations in Puntland criticized the election process of the governor and deputy governor of Eyl district, won by Kaah, the ruling party.

Four political organizations issued a joint statement alleging that Kaah political organization rigged the election of the governor and deputy governor of Eyl district.

They added that the election mismanagement done in the Eyl did a irreparable damage to the hope of implementing multi-party elections in Puntland.

The political organizations have called on the Puntland election stakeholders to come together in a consultation meeting to save the multi-party elections in Puntland.

The local members were elected in one person one vote on October 25th 2021, but only yesterday elected member of the Kaah Political Association, as the Governor and his deputy of Eyl district.
