MOGADISHU (SD) – Somali President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud accompanied by the Prime Minister of the Federal Government of Somalia Hamse Abdi Barre updated the Somali people about his health condition, saying he is grateful for the prayers and attention they showed during his compliance with COVID-19 guidelines and recommendations.

The president said medical tests related to COVID-19 showed he had recovered, and would resume and expedite national work.

“After 5 days of complying with the guidelines and recommendations of the medical community regarding COVID-19, I underwent the final test yesterday and today, which resulted in being free of COVID-19. As a result, I am back in office, to further the national work that you have entrusted me to do. ” said the President.

Meanwhile, President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud congratulated the Prime Minister of the Federal Government of Somalia, Hamse Abdi Barre, on being confirmed by the Federal Parliament of Somalia and his assumption of office as Prime Minister, and they toured the presidency together.
