President Farmajo reportedly held meetings with PM Roble at Villa Somalia

Mogadishu (SD) – The President of the Federal Republic of Somalia Mohamed Abdullahi Farmajo reportedly held a closed door meeting with the Minister of Security Abdullahi Mohamed Nur and the Interim Director of NISA Bashir Goobe.

The meeting at Villa Somalia was facilitated by the President of the South West State of Somalia, Abdiaziz Hassan Mohamed Laftgareen.

According to sources close to Villa Somalia, the meeting focused on resolving the dispute over the removal of the former head of the spy agency Fahad Yassin and the appointment of Bashir Goobe as well as Internal Security Minister Abdullahi Mohamed Nur.

The meeting at Villa Somalia follows a meeting last night at the Presidential Palace between Somali President Farmajo and Prime Minister Mohamed Hussein Roble, and seeks a solution to the dispute between Farmajo and Roble.

Key sources add that last night’s meeting and todays, reached an understanding, although there are no available details, it is said that it is possible that a result will be reached to end the long-running dispute between government officials.

The offices of the President and PM have not yet released any information about the meetings at Villa Somalia
