Baidoa January 16, 2023 (SD) – The President of the Federal Republic of Somalia, Hassan Sheikh Mohamud, and a delegation led by him have arrived in the city of Baydhabo for the Conference on Reconciliation and Dialogue for South West State.

The President commended the initiative led by the Speaker of the Federal Parliament of Somalia, Sheikh Aden Mohamed Nur, to ensure a peaceful agreement and strengthen unity and cooperation among the people of the region.

During his visit to South-West State, the President will focus on accelerating the liberation of the areas in South-West State that are still under the control of terrorist groups, which are causing harm and insecurity to our people.

Upon arrival at the Shaati Gudud Airport in Baydhabo, the President and his delegation were warmly welcomed by the President of the South West State, Abdiasis Hassan Mohamed, officials from both Federal and State levels, and various sectors of society.
