BAIDOA (SD) – Somali President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud with a large delegation today arrived in Baidoa, the capital of the Transitional Federal Government of Southwestern Somalia.

At the airport in Baidoa, President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud and his entourage were warmly welcomed by the President of South West, members of both houses of parliament, ministers and other officials.

After the reception, Somali President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud was escorted to the presidential palace of the South West state where he is expected to hold further meetings with South West state leaders.

President Hassan Sheikh’s recent visit to Baidoa is the first time he travels out of the capital Mogadishu since his re-election on May 15th.
