-The President of the Jubaland Regional State, Mr. Ahmed Mohamed Islam (Madobe), today visited the areas affected by the floods of the Juba River in the Lower Jubba region.

During the visit, the President, accompanied by officials from various relief and humanitarian organizations, observed the challenges faced by the thousands of families living in the flooded areas.

Tens of thousands of people have been displaced from their homes due to the flooding of the Juba River, with some cities experiencing the inundation of neighborhoods and destruction of important infrastructure.

The President commended the efforts of the flood response committee in providing emergency assistance to the affected areas and the healthcare personnel from the Ministry of Health who are providing medical support to the displaced population in various parts of the Jubaland region.
