Odweyne (SD) – The President of Somaliland, Muse Bihi Abdi and the delegation accompanying him who are currently on a working visit to some regions of the country, were today given a warm welcome in Odweyne, the capital of Daad-madheed region.

The president and his entourage left Burao this morning and were welcomed in El-bilcille and El-same areas between Burao and Odweyne.

The president and his entourage were greeted by various sections of the population in Odweyne, led by the district administration, elders, intellectuals, traditional elders and women.

The President and his entourage took a walk through town and spoke to the welcoming crowd in the main courtyard of the new Central Bank building.

“You are sending a message of nationhood, peace, brotherhood to the whole nation, as we are a national delegation and you are conveying a message of goodwill and progress, and the nation is grateful to you.” Said president Bihi.

The President of the Republic of Somaliland, Mr. Muse Bihi Abdi, cut the ribbon on a two storey building dedicated to the Central Bank of Somaliland in Odweyne, which will greatly enhance the beauty and revenue of the city.
