Hargeisa (SD) – The President of the Republic of Somaliland, Muse Bihi Abdi with a large delegation who left the capital Hargeisa this morning, were warmly welcomed in Berbera and the surrounding areas.

The president and his entourage were received by officials from Sahil region and Berbera district in Omar, after which they received a warm welcome from the people of Dacar-budhuq, Abdal, Hamas and other towns in the region. located between Hargeisa and Berbera.

Afterwards, the President and members of his delegation inspected the new additions to Berbera port, which is in the process of being upgraded and modernized.

He was welcomed by the management and staff of the Berbera port, where the President unveiled a new state-of-the-art tower for the port.

The Ports Manager of the Republic of Somaliland, Mr. Said Hassan Abdullahi, who led the President’s delegation to Berbera port, briefed them on their efforts to develop the port and implement the President’s policy of providing all basic services at the port for the region.

“The purpose of the president’s visit is to learn about the general situation in the regions and districts of the country, to accelerate the various activities in the regions, and to monitor and confirm development projects in the regions and districts.” Said the president’s spokesman.
