Mogadishu (SD) – The president of HirShabelle state Mohamed Abdi Waare has strongly opposed the statement issued today by the technical committee for the selection of the second parliament of the administration.
The Technical Committee for the Selection of the Second Parliament of the HirShabelle Administration has issued a timetable for the selection of HirShabelle’s second parliament.
Waare issued an statement criticizing the technical committee’s decision, believing that the commission was not working at this time as it was only appointed and lacked a quota for women and training.
HirShabelle State’s first parliament expires on October 9th, but the committee will begin its work the day before, and from October 8th to October 15th it will be busy welcoming, verifying and completing the traditional elders.
It is unknown at this time what will the parties do to resolve this new political conflict in the country, as the term of the HirShabelle Parliament expires.
