Mogadishu (SD) – Banadir Governor and Mogadishu mayor Omar Mohamed Mohamud “Omar Filish” today received a delegation led by Jubaland President Ahmed Mohamed Islam “Ahmed Madobe” at Mogadishu’s Aden Adde International Airport.

The delegation was preceded by another led by Puntland President Said Abdullahi Deni and are both scheduled to meet with Somali President Mohamed Abdullahi Farmajo.

The purpose of their visit is to address the transition and the disputed electoral process in Somalia.

Jubaland and Puntland have not been part of the Dhusamareb 3 agreement, were other state administrations and the central government have agreed on the type of elections to be held in Somalia.

Deni and Ahmed Madobe are also expected to hold meetings with foreign ambassadors in Mogadishu, including US, Turkish and Italian ambassadors.
