London (SD) – Chairman of the Horn of Africa Regional Somali Language Academy Dr. Mohamed Dahir Afrah died last night at a hospital in London.
The late Dr. Mohamed Dahir Afrah was hospitalized in London a few days ago, for an undisclosed condition.
Prior to his death, he was the chairman of the Independent Constitutional Commission, as well as the Chairman of the Somali Pen Association, a coalition of Somali scholars who write in Somali, Arabic and English.
Prof. Mohamed Dahir Afrah was also the author of the famous Somali Novel ever written, Mana-fay and other notable literature.
The death of the chairman of the Horn of Africa Regional Somali Language Academy has been confirmed by some of his relatives and others.
