Bossaso (SD) – Puntland police in Bari region say they have conducted operations in that region and arrested members of Daish group and their military vehicles.

A brief statement from the police said the members were being held by security forces and were under investigation.

The Bari Regional Police didn’t say if the accused were planning attacks and why they suspected them to belong to those groups.

Puntland currently holds large numbers of detainees for terrorist offenses in Puntland, particularly in Bossaso and Galkayo, where most of the bombings and killing of Puntland officials take place.

ISIS has training bases in the mountains of Al-Miskad, naming it after the slain ISIS leader Abubakar Al-Baghdadi and another senior member of the group.
