GAROWE (SD) -The first-degree military court of Puntland today sentenced 6 men of Moroccan descent to death for their involvement in various crimes.

It was found that they were among the members of the ISIS organization based in the Cal Miskaad mountains, where many attacks have targeted civilians in various parts of Puntland and other areas in Somalia.

The court stated that the convicted individuals were all identified as belonging to Al-Shabaab and had entered the country to harm Somali citizens.

Additionally, the court also handed long-term imprisonment to a Somali national and an Ethiopian-born individual, both working with the convicted foreigners, while another Somali individual accused of the same crimes was acquitted.
