GAROWE (SD)-The President of Puntland state of Somalia, Said Abdullahi Deni, has appointed a committee responsible for the approval and reconciliation of parliamentary disputes, as announced in a recent statement released from the presidential office in Garowe.

The committee, composed of eight members, was picked by President Deni for their knowledge, and experience, given the ongoing parliamentary and presidential elections in the regional state.

The committee’s role includes addressing and resolving conflicts within the parliament and providing support for the democratic processes in the region.

The appointment of such a committee could be seen as a preemptive measure to ensure a smooth electoral process and to address any potential disputes that may arise.
