ADDIS ABABA (SD) -A delegation led by the Minister of Civil Aviation of Puntland Abdullahi Bile met with the Minister of Transport of Ethiopia, Dagmawit Moges, the Director General of the Ethiopian Civil Aviation Authority, Mr. Getachew Mengistie, and the CEO of Ethiopian Airlines, Mesfin Tasew Bekele.

The two sides discussed enhancing the relationship between Addis Ababa and Garowe, as well as improving air travel connections between Ethiopia and Bossaso and Garowe, with plans to expand air travel services.

The meeting comes at a time when the Federal Government of Somalia has suspended relations with Ethiopia and expelled the Ethiopian Ambassador in Mogadishu.

Puntland recently paused relations with the Federal Government of Somalia after constitutional amendments were approved, which it strongly opposed.
