Garoowe January 13, 2023 (SD) -The Puntland police force has announced that a raid on the Balidhin district of the Bari region resulted in the death of a leader of the ISIS group, identified as Abu-Albara Al Amani.

The police force stated that security forces foiled an attack by ISIS on the Balidhin base, and during the operation, they killed the leader of the group’s operations.

They also said that Abu-Albara Al Amani is originally from the Amhara region of Ethiopia, and that he had forced many Ethiopians to join the ISIS group in Puntland.

he Puntland police also said that they had previously killed the leader of ISIS operations, Abu Walid Al-muhajir, after he was injured in an operation by Puntland security forces near the Cal Miskaad mountain range.

However, after his death, the group appointed Abu Albara as the leader in July 2021, and he was killed on the 12th of this month.
