Garowe (SD) – The Puntland Interim Electoral Commission (TPEC) fined the KAAH party led by President Said Abdullahi Deni, after it violated election laws.

KAAH, one of Puntland’s largest political parties, has been accused of staging a rally in the village of Hasbahale in Eyl District on October 14, 2021.

The ruling KAAH party held a campaign outside of the election schedule in a village in Eyl district last Thursday.

The Independent Interim Electoral Commission (TPEC) has fined KAAH $1,000 and ordered it to pay within three days, the commission also cancelled their October 22, 2021 campaign day.

KAAH officials were also warned not to further violate the Puntland Political Associations Campaign Schedule.
