GAROWE (SD) – At least one person has been killed after Puntland presidential guards monday night opened fire on a vehicle on the outskirts of Garowe town.

According to sources, the security forces suspected the driver after the driver drove into the convoy carrying the Puntland president Saed Abdullahi Deni.

The victim who was reportedly driving the private vehicle was identified as Maryan Ahmed Mohamed

Deni was returning to Garowe town following a day long electoral campaign in Qardho town.

Puntland state authorities have not yet commented on the incident which the live of the woman.
