Garowe (SD) – The Somali Regional State of Puntland has called on the international community to understand the country’s political and transitional situation and its importance to Somali governance.

Nuradin Aden Diriye, an adviser to the Puntland president, posted on Twitter that Somalia’s international community friends need to understand where the political solution lies in Somalia.

The statement came in response to a tweet from the US embassy in Somalia that the parties to the Dhusamareb agreement were spoilers and could no longer support the United States.

The Jubaland and Puntland administrations have boycotted the Dhusamareb Conference 3 and dismissed the agreement on the type of elections reached in the Galmudug capital.
