Salahley (SD) – Somaliland telecommunications giant Telesom, donated a much needed supplies to Salahley district, recently damaged by heavy rains.
The donation handover ceremony was addressed by members of the Salahley District Development Committee who thanked Telesom for the much needed supplies.
Telesom’s Director of Public Relations and Social Affairs Abdiwahab Maax, said the company had delivered 2,000 Tin roofs and 500 bags of cement to Salahley district, to help rebuild 66 houses that were damaged by the storm.
He also spoke about the role their company has played in other crisis the country recently faced, citing contributions made by Telesom to the victims of Cyclone Sagar in the West Coast, their various drought relief efforts in the country and their contributions towards Covid-19 mitigation efforts. were Telesom donated money and medical equipment.
Salahley District Commissioner Ismail Yusuf Hussein (Shine) thanked Telesom for its generous and continuous support.
