Garowe (SD) – Transitional Puntland Electoral Commission announced today the list of election candidates, submitted by the regions registered Political associations participating in Puntland’s upcoming partial elections.

The Puntland Electoral Commission said the one person one votes will be held in October.

8 Political organizations have submitted their candidates in Eyl, Ufayn and Qardho districts and will only be challenged by 7 political organizations.

The youth political association did not submit their list of candidates in the Eyl, Ufayn and Qardho district election.

The decision of the Electoral Committee dismisses requests from some political organizations that the elections be delayed.
