DOHA (SD) -The Minister of Justice and Constitutional Affairs of the Somali Government, Hassan Mahdi Mohamed, currently on an official visit to Qatar, met with his Qatari counterpart Ibrahim Bin Ali Almuhannadi today. They signed a comprehensive agreement regarding legal cooperation.
The bilateral agreement translates into mutual interests in the exchange of information and expertise, drafting and reviewing legal documents, and mutual legal assistance agreements.
Additionally, both governments will collaborate on legal and judicial research, and legal training programs, enhancing the capabilities and qualifications of legal personnel, advisors, and consultants.
The signing ceremony, held at the Ministry of Justice in Qatar, saw both Ministers hold further discussions on bilateral relations, legal cooperation between the two countries, the completion of Somalia’s constitution, the establishment of the country’s legal system, and mutual exchange of expertise in legal matters.
