DOHA (SD) -The Chief of the Somali National Army, General Ibrahim Sheikh Mohiuddin, received a warm welcome from his Qatari counterpart, Lieutenant General Salem Bin Hamad Al Aqeel Al Nabit, during his visit to Qatar.
The two commanders held a comprehensive meeting in Doha, the capital of Qatar, discussing various aspects of the ongoing cooperation between Somalia and Qatar.
They discussed ways to strengthen support for the Somali National Army in all aspects, including the fight against the Al-Shabaab group, and the provision of educational grants to Somali military officers.
General Ibraahim Sheikh Muxudiin expressed profound gratitude to Qatar for its role in the development and equipping of the armed forces, and he assured that the relationship between the two countries would continue to strengthen.
Finally, Qatar military Chief in Somalia, Salem bin Hamad bin Mohammed bin Aqeel Al Nabit, conveyed his country’s commitment to support Somalia, participating in various development projects and providing assistance in military and humanitarian affairs in Somalia.
