Roadside blast targets Somali forces traveling to Afgoye

Mogadishu (SD) – Reports from the outskirts of Mogadishu confirm a roadside bomb blast targeted Somali government forces traveling on a road connecting the capital and Afgoye.

The roadside bomb exploded around noon in the Weydow area of Mogadishu, witnesses said.

Officials from the Garasbaley district administration on the outskirts of the capital said that the government vehicle escaped unhurt and that an investigation is underway.

Witnesses confirmed about three people were hurt in the blast, there are taken to local hospitals for treatment.

Its not the first time Somali and AMISOM troops were targeted on the same road and its not yet known who was behind this latest attack.
