Hargeisa (SD) – Somaliland Vice President and Chairman of the Covid-19 Infection Prevention Committee Abdirahman Saylici, said the number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in the country could be higher than reported six.

The Somaliland vice-president made the statement on a universal TV interview with Abdulsalam Hareri “It is possible that there are more people with Covid-19 than the reported six, as we are not testing regularly.”

Somaliland authorities have announced that three of the six confirmed cases have recovered.

Somaliland is yet to utilize a WHO donated Laboratory designed to diagnose Covid_19, instead, the government sends all tests to Kenya
