MOGADISHU (SD) – Somalia’s Minister of Internal Security, Abdullahi Sheikh Ismail Fartag, joined the Capital Stabilization Forces last night in security operations aimed at enhancing safety across Mogadishu.
The Minister was accompanied by senior officials, including the heads of the police and national intelligence, as well as other security leaders, in a wide-scale patrol through all districts in Banadir region.
The officials assessed the challenges faced by residents and observed the on-ground operations of the forces.
The Ministry of Security released a statement emphasizing the officials’ discussions with residents to understand the security issues they encounter.
The Minister and his team directed the officers to intensify operations to secure Mogadishu. They also committed to maintaining regular inspections to monitor the work of the security forces in preventing incidents of insecurity in the city’s districts.
