New Jersey (SD) – Sharma Boy won the 2021 Best upcoming Artist of the Year award, defeating other African artists in an annual competition in the United States.

The Seventh Annual African Entertainment Awards USA (AEAUSA) was held in New Jersey, USA.

The names of the winners for the multi-level medals were announced on December 30, 2021.

Somali singer Sharma Boy has topped the list of the best upcoming African singers in 2021.

In last few years, Somalia’s Sharma Boy became very popular, performing rap songs.

The young singer said in an earlier interviews that the Somali art is been transformed into a new format, Hip Hop.

Young Somali artists argue that rap music is the current trend in the world, and is influencing Somali culture.
