Las Anod Friday Sept 02,2022 (SD) – According to reports from Las Anod city in Sool region, two unknown militiamen exchanged fire at the airport in that city.

The dispute is between rival Khat businessmen who were importing the stimulant caused the two sides to call in the militiamen, leading to the shootout.

At least four people were injured, and no deaths have been reported as a result of the exchange of fire between the two militias.

The reporting confirmed the the plane carrying the stimulant sustained damages due to the fighting.

The security agencies of Somaliland and those of Sool Region did not yet address the shootout between the two militias at Las Anod Airport today.
