MOGADISHU -The Somali National Army, supported by troops from allied countries, conducted a military operation in the Cali Yabal area, located near Eldher District and other regions within the Galgadud region.

The Somali military commandos, backed by foreign forces, carried out the operation targeting Al-Shabaab militants who were reportedly consolidating in these areas. Military officials reported significant casualties inflicted on Al-Shabaab during the operation, including both fatalities and injuries.

The army commanders noted that the operation resulted in heavy losses for Al-Shabaab, with several high-ranking members of the group being eliminated.

The government forces, alongside allied troops, have been conducting planned operations against Al-Shabaab in recent days, with reports indicating successful strikes against the militants.
