LUG-HAYA (SD) -The traditional leaders of Awdal Region, especially those residing in the city of Lug-haya, have come together to coordinate efforts for the protection of their coastline against Ethiopian territorial ambitions.

These traditional leaders emphasize the sacred duty of defending and safeguarding the unity of Somalia.

The traditional leaders of the region have called for readiness to defend Somalia’s maritime borders while also rejecting Ethiopia’s harmful intentions.

These statements from the traditional elders follow a large meeting that took place at the Lug-haya beach attended by various segments of society such as traditional leaders, businessmen, scholars, women, youth, and other elders.
