Las Anod (SD) – Reports from in Las Anod, Sool region confirm that an unknow militiamen killed a soldier and his wife in that city last night.

Witnesses confirmed to local media that the assailants fled the scene.

The couple was killed on their way home, according to residents.

It is not known who carried out the killing and why, but this is the second such killing in Las Anod in weeks.

Somaliland security forces have reportedly launched a security operation, an investigation on the murder of the couple in Las Anod and to track down the perpetrators.
