Addis Ababa (SD) – Authorities in the Ethiopian capital, Addis Ababa, have handed over land to Somalis in the country to build a cultural center.
Speaking at a ceremony, Somali Regional President Mustafa Omar welcomed the move and said it will contribute towards Somali inclusion to the federal system.
“We are committed to working with Somalis to secure the rights of the Somali people who are missing out on federalism.” Said the President.
Dr. Hirut Kassaw, Minister of Culture and Tourism of Ethiopia who also attended the ceremony hailed the establishment of the Somali Cultural Center in Addis Ababa as a success.
