Somali leaders congratulate Somalia’s appointed PM

MOGADISHU (SD) – Former Somali President Mohamed Abdullahi Farmajo and heads of regional administrations have congratulated Hamse Abdi Barre on his appointment by President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud as the country’s new Prime Minister of the Federal Government of Somalia.

“I pray to God to make it easier for the appointed Prime Minister to fulfill his responsibilities, and I ask the Parliament of the Federal Republic of Somalia to give their vote of confidence, as to form a government that will continue the development of the country.” said Mr. Mohamed Abdullahi Farmajo.

The President of the Jubaland State of Somalia, Ahmed Mohamed Islam, has congratulated the newly appointed Prime Minister of the Federal Republic of Somalia, Hamze Abdi Barre, on his appointment by President of the Federal Republic of Somalia, Hassan Sheikh Mohamud.

Ahmed Madobe is believed to have been instrumental in the appointment of the country’s new prime minister, with Mr. Hamze, a former chairman of Jubaland’s electoral commission, and a first member of parliament to be elected in Kismayo.

Meanwhile, the President of Puntland State of Somalia, Said Abdullahi Deni, congratulated Hamze Abdi Barre on his appointment as the 21st Prime Minister of the Federal Republic of Somalia.

“I congratulate MP Hamze Abdi Barre on his appointment by President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud as the new Prime Minister of the Federal Republic of Somalia,” said Puntland President Said Abdullahi Deni.

Leaders of other regional administrations in Hirshabelle, Southwest and Galmudug congratulated the new prime minister.
