Mogadisu(SD)-The President of the Federal Republic of Somalia, Mohamed Abdullahi Farmajo, is set to attend the United Nations General Assembly this year after he gave up his US citizenship.

Speaking at a conference in Baidoa, the mister of planning Jamal Hassan said that the president will attend the UN conference in New York.

President Farmajo used returning the US citizenship as a patriotic act, but the truth came out after reporters forecasted his reasons.

The Somali president has not attended any of the United Nations conferences because of US citizenship, and it is unclear what his involvement will be.
