Somali Region President accuses Abdiweli Gaas of supporting TPLF

Jigjiga (SD) – Ethiopia’s Somali Regional State President, Mustafa Muhumed Omar Agjar in an interview with EZ Television made a surprising accusations against the US, Kenya and the former Puntland President Abdiweli Ali Gaas.

President Mustafe noted in the interview that the US government is pushing the plot to label Ethiopia a war zone and a terrorist heaven.

The Somali State President also accused the Kenyan government as part of the plot to destabilize Ethiopia, and said Nairobi was supporting TPLF.

President Agjar accused the former president of Puntland Gaas of attending a recent opposition conferences in Washington.

“There were attempts to harm the Somali regional territories, we prevented them, including the Washington conference where 9 opposition groups formed an alliance, with the help of Abdi Iley supporters.” Mustafa Omar said.

The President added that the former Puntland President Abdiweli Ali Gaas attended the meeting in Washington and collected money for the opposition.

Former President Abdiweli Gaas who spoke with local Somali media denied the accusations.

President Mustafe noted in the interview that the US government is pushing the plot to label Ethiopia a war zone and a terrorist heaven.

The US and Kenyan governments, who are playing a role in mediations did not respond to President Omar’s accusations.
